Arcata Floating Lantern Ceremony

The Arcata Lantern Floating Ceremony is an opportunity for community members to offer spiritual consolation for people they miss, departed loved ones, ancestors, cultures and all we hold dear. It is organized by the City of Arcata.

Due to the pandemic, the 38th Annual Arcata Lantern Floating Ceremony presented virtually by the community that shared their intentions, hopes and remembrance in lieu of lantern floating at the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary.

Below is the Arcata Lantern Ceremony submission from Gary Ronne from Humboldt Taiko and HAPI (former known as Team Taiko).
